What is O.W.L.S.?

Monthly nature programs designed for senior adult audiences at Brillion Nature Center

What do O.W.L.S. programs involve?

  • Lecture or slide presentation on seasonal nature theme

  • Option of hands-on indoor activity

  • Option of outdoor demonstration or short hike (maximum distance ½ mile)

  • Light snack/group discussion/conversation

Do I need to be a member to participate?

  • No. O.W.L.S. Programs are open to both members and non-members of Brillion Nature Center

  • Participants may register for individual or multiple programs

  • Pre-registration is required

How do O.W.L.S. programs accommodate for people with low mobility?

  • Participants are able to choose program activities that fit their own interest and abilities

  • All outdoor program options take place along crushed limestone trail

  • Participants may walk/roll at their own pace or catch a ride on our 6-person electric golf cart during outdoor portions of programs

  • Cost is $3.00/BNC Members and $5.00/Non-members

  • BNC welcomes all seniors (age 62 and over) and caregivers if needed

  • O.W.L.S. programs are social opportunities to learn something new and interact with other seniors in a comfortable nature setting.

  • Programs take place at Brillion Nature Center located at W1135 Deerview Road, just south of Brillion west of County Road PP
